Homemade Chewy Brownies

Is there anything better than a gooey, chewy delicious brownie?  While it's super fast to grab a Betty Crocker box from the grocery, these brownies are seriously easy to throw together and will be the hit of your party.  Our girlfriend Candace made these one evening, and of course we had to have the recipe.

Ingredients
4 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter melted
3/4 cup of Hershey's cocoa
2 cups Sugar
2 tsp vanilla
11/2 cups of flour

Beat eggs in a large bowl.  Add sugar, salt, vanilla and mix for about a minute.  Add melted butter to mixture.  In a separate bowl combine flour and cocoa with a wisk until blended.
Add dry mixture to wet mixture and blend until well combined.

Spread brownie batter into a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minute.

If you like frosting as much as we do, you might as well whip up this decadent frosting to finish off an already fantastic dessert. (If frosting isn't your thing, sprinkle a little powered sugar over the top for a pretty presentation.)

Frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter softened
1/4 cup cocoa
milk

Mix the first three ingredients together and slowly add milk.  Be careful not to add to much milk.  You want your frosting to be a thick, barely spreadable consistency.  If you add too much milk you will end up with a runny, thin frosting.  Spread on the brownies after about 15 mins of cooling so the frosting can sort of melt onto the brownies.

After making these brownies we can almost guarantee you won't go back to the standard brownies from a box. These are just too good.  Easy to make and delicious.  What more can you ask for?
Enjoy!

xo,

Kara
